AusReno Guides aims to be a useful, honest source of Australian renovation cost information. This page sets out how we treat editorial content, sponsorship, and reader trust.
Editorial independence
Our articles, cost ranges, calculator outputs, and supplier recommendations are written independently of any commercial relationship. Sponsorship does not buy editorial coverage. A sponsor will never receive favourable mention inside an article that is not clearly marked as sponsored content.
If we change our view of a supplier or product based on new evidence, we update the article. If we make a factual error, we correct it. We do not silently change the historical record — corrections are noted at the foot of the article with the date.
Sponsored content and advertising
We accept paid sponsorships and display partner placements. All paid placements are clearly labelled in one of three ways:
- Sponsored — the placement is paid for by the named party.
- Featured Partner — the named party has a current commercial relationship with AusReno Guides and has paid for placement priority.
- Advertisement — a third-party paid advertisement, including any display banners.
All outbound links from sponsored placements use the rel="sponsored noopener" attribute as required by Google's webmaster guidelines and consistent with ACCC disclosure expectations.
Affiliate links
Where an article links to a service for which we may receive a commission if you make a purchase or request a quote, the article includes a clear affiliate disclosure near the link, and the link uses rel="sponsored noopener". Affiliate income does not change the editorial position of an article.
Financial services advertising
AusReno Guides is a publisher and does not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence. Where a financial services provider appears as a sponsor or advertiser on this site, that placement is for information only and is not financial advice, a recommendation, or an endorsement. Readers should seek independent, licensed advice before acting on any financial information presented in advertising on this site.
How to flag an issue
If you believe an article is inaccurate, an undisclosed commercial relationship has influenced editorial content, or a sponsored placement is misleading, email admin@ausrenoguides.com and we will investigate within 5 business days.
